This incredible vintage mid century modern “Fun 1TM” table lamp was designed by Danish architect and furniture designer Vernor Panton and made in Switzerland by J. Luber in the 1960s. This elegant, sculptural table lamp inspired by nature features a circular chrome base with mirrored top and two hanging tiers of 2” round Capiz shells. The beautiful reflective discs, made of mother-of-pearl, emit a soft, warm glow when illuminated. This rare original vintage version first manufactured by Luber is labeled with original hanging paper tag that reads: "Design Verner Panton for J. Luber Basel, Swiss Made" and original sticker at base that reads: "J. Luber Basel, Made in Switzerland”. Long plug-in cord with on/off switch.
CONDITION
Excellent vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. Some shells with minor chipping on edges expected over time. A few missing shells, but not readily apparent. Working condition. Standard bulb. Lightbulb not included.
