This set of four vintage mid century Finnish modern birch wood and blue upholstered K65 stools originally designed by Alvar Aalto (Finnish, 1898-1976) for Artek in 1935 were made in Finland circa 1980. These K65 High Chairs have a classic Nordic design with clean, minimalist lines and gentle curves. The tall, long-legged chairs with low a backrest and curved rail foot rest are the optimum height for high tables and bar counters and feature signature Aalto design aesthetic and materials. The chairs are constructed from laminated birch bentwood with original blue faux leather upholstered seats and are part of the L-leg collection created from the original system of standardized components. “ICF” (importer) stamps on underside of seats.
CONDITION
Very good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. Minor scuffs, scratches, chips and general wear expected with normal use over time. Some black marks to blue fabric.
