Early Eames Time Life Executive Chair Herman Miller, 1960s, Xerox Corp.

This early vintage mid-century modern Eames Time-Life Executive Desk Chair designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller and produced during the 1960s is from the Xerox corporate collection of the same era. Introduced in 1961 as Model 3474, the chair was developed as a narrower, more upright desk version of the Eames Time-Life Lobby Chair originally created for the Time-Life Building in New York. Intended for executive office use, the chair combines a tailored profile with generously padded leather upholstery and an adjustable tilt-swivel mechanism.

This chair features black leather upholstery, cast aluminum four-star universal base, swivel function with adjustable seat height and backrest tilt and original white nylon glides. The chair retains original Xerox corporate property label, documenting its institutional provenance.

CONDITION
Good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. Leather may have been reconditioned at some point and has an overall sheen. General surface marks, scuffs and faint abrasions to leather and minor patina to metal frame consistent with age and typical use.
