Contemporary Geometric Abstract Art Wall Reliefs by Thomas Vinson White–White–Red, 2004
Ask a Question
This original pair of geometric wall reliefs was created by contemporary artist Thomas Vinson in 2004 as part of his White–White–Red series. Executed in acrylic on canvas over MDF, each work combines minimalist painting with sculptural relief, projecting subtly from the wall to create shifting light, shadow, and depth. The compositions feature crisp white geometric planes intersected by vivid red horizontal elements, demonstrating Vinson’s restrained yet highly architectural approach to color and form. Created during an important early period in the artist’s career, these reliefs exemplify his exploration of geometric abstraction through carefully balanced composition and subtle spatial depth.
The pair remains together as originally conceived and retains the artist’s original handwritten inscriptions on the reverse identifying the title, date, medium, dimensions, signature, and individual work numbers, confirming them as unique original works rather than editioned multiples.
