This beautiful antique French wooden mantel clock was made in France circa 1900. This chiming clock with pendulum has a uniquely elegant design with clean, rectilinear lines and gentle curves. The case is finely crafted from walnut and mahogany with lovely inlay detailing, a mother-of-pearl decorative roundel and thin decorative accent lines and an onyx clock face. Both the front and back of the case feature a brass bezel fitted with beveled glass protecting the dial and movement and opening on hinges for access. The clock strikes each hour on the hour and once each half hour. The back plate is stamped with the numbers 15987. The clock face has faded letters, mostly illegible.

CONDITION
Very good original condition with wear consistent with age and use and beautiful vintage antique character. Minor scattered loss at the thin inlay decorative strips. The clock has been serviced and is in working order. The pendulum is removable. The clock key is antique, but not original to the clock.
