This vintage mid century Danish modern teak wood bookcase with drop-down desk by BBM Bjerringbro Møbler was made in Denmark circa 1960. Well-crafted from teak wood, the minimalist Scandinavian modern design features clean, geometric lines. This versatile cabinet set consists of two 2-piece units that can be used side-by-side or placed separately. Each unit features an upper step-back hutch that has open shelving with adjustable and removable shelves. The right unit includes a locking drop-down door that becomes a desktop and opens on interior storage with four small drawers and an open shelf. The lower cabinets each have two sliding doors with adjustable and removable interior shelves. All drawers are dovetailed, and all interiors are finished. This elegant and versatile cabinet system is perfect for home or office; use as bookcase, display cabinet, bar cabinet, open china cabinet, media console, etc. Manufacturer's labels on back: BBM Bjerringbro Møbler

CONDITION
Excellent vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. Original working desk key included. Some fading to wood on top of lower cabinets as per photo, but is covered by upper hutch when in place.
