This original vintage Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller DCW dining chair is expertly crafted from ash molded plywood with black aniline finish. Designed in the 1940s and named Time magazine’s “Best Design of the 20th Century”, the iconic DCW design features clean lines and gentle curves with a comfortable ergonomical seat and rubber shock mounts. This particular chair is circa 1950 and is from the estate of a former employee of Eero Saarinen. The underside has the 5-2-4 screw pattern and “DCW” stamp.
CONDITION
Excellent vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use.
