Mid Century Danish Black Leather Swan Chairs by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen
Ask a Question
This pair of mid century Danish modern black leather Model 3320 Swan chairs by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen were made in Denmark in 2006. Arne Jacobsen was a design visionary and creator of the Egg, Swan, Series 7, and Drop chairs, among other iconic furniture pieces. The beautiful Swan chair was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1958 for the lobby and lounge areas of his SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen - the city’s first high-rise building inspired by the skyscrapers of New York City. The design of the Swan chair contains no straight lines, making it look organic and soft; with a striking simplicity and strong architectural appeal, it is now one the most iconic chairs of mid-20th century Danish modern design. This pair features a 4-star aluminum 360 degree swivel base and beautiful black leather upholstery. Both chairs retain Republic of Fritz Hansen Made in Denmark 2006 manufacturer’s stickers and stamp on base.
