Developed a decade after the Eames Sofa Compact, the 3473 retained its distinctive high-backed profile and exposed aluminum base while introducing a slightly larger, more generously upholstered seat and back. The design also incorporated elements of the Eames Executive Chair, resulting in a refined combination of sculptural form and exceptional comfort. Produced by Herman Miller from 1964 through 1973, the Model 3473 had a relatively brief production run and is less commonly encountered than the Eames Sofa Compact.

This vintage 3473 sofa was produced in the 1960s and has been expertly reupholstered in a handsome textured multitone gray tweed fabric.
