The Eames compact sofa is well-built and solid and features a collapsible backrest with two foam pads with a reinforcing cord welting detail and urethane foam seat cushions supported by fabric-reinforced rubber webbing on a steel and wire-spring armature. The steel sofa frame is black enamel and the chrome-plated tubular steel legs have original “Insulated Domes of Silence” stainless steel glides.
