Vintage Eames for Herman Miller Time Life Brown Office Chair 1978

This vintage mid century modern Model 3475 Eames Time Life Lobby Chair designed by Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller is from 1978. This classic office chair features original rich, dark brown leather accented with brown fabric top seat and four-star swivel base with original rolling casters. The comfortable, contoured ergonomic design features thick, plush cushions, swivel seat and adjustable height and backrest tilt. An adaptation of the commissioned 'Lobby Chairs' for the Time Life building in New York, the 1960 release of the Time Life Lounge Chair brought the chair to the broader public of homes, offices, conference rooms and lobbies all over the US and internationally. Model 3475 introduced later in the 1960s has the width and laid back comfort and swivel of the 675 model with added height and tilt adjustability. An iconic and collectible desk chair; perfect for home or office. Date stamped August 16, 1978 with Herman Miller tags to underside.
